Abalone Fishing

We went abalone fishing over the last 2 Sundays. We are not an abalone fan, but we had to go back for a second round because the first time was a flop. Anyway, the licence cost AUD41 p.a. so we might as well make full use of it.

We are legal. There were some people caught (mainly Asians..) for not having their licences. The officers conduct a random check on your licences, and your catch as well. Your catch must be 6cm or more and limited to 20 abalone per person. The penalties are as high as AUD5K PLUS up to 10 times the dollar value of the abalone that you have caught!

It was a very cold and windy morning...

Keon working hard.

Total catch for the day = 56.

Keon so proud and happy with his catch.

Keon does all the slimy cleaning. (eww)

We took 10 abalone and leave the other 46 with Keon's colleague. (We dont even know what to do with the 10 now..)

This is Khai Veun (trying) to look proud and excited of his husband's catch.
